User settings – calendar

2 min read

The ‘User settings’ form includes a ‘Calendar’ tab for configuring options around the subject of calendars

The form content is larger than the display. The user should scroll down the form to see all inputs.

The configuration options include:

  • Start of week day: Change this day of week to have calendar week based displays start with a specific day of week.
  • Relative end of week day: When setting a scheduled date to a relative week (e.g. ‘this week’, ‘next week’ , ‘week plus 2’) then the date will be aligned to this day of the week. For example, if the current date is a Monday and this configuration setting is a Friday, then when the user sets a scheduled date to ‘This week’, then the scheduled date will be set to the equivalent of the next Friday.
  • Relative weekend day: When setting a scheduled date to a relative weekend (e.g. ‘this weekend’, ‘next weekend) then the date will be aligned to this day of the week. For example, if the current date is a Monday and this configuration setting is a Sunday, then when the user sets a scheduled date to ‘This weekend’, then the scheduled date will be set to the equivalent of the next Sunday.
  • Year start day/month: The day and month that equates to the start of the year. A lot of year, month and quarter related date calculations will use this setting.
  • Working days: The days of the week considered ‘working’. Click on the calendar button to change.
  • Normal day start and finish times: The time range of a normal day. These values will be used to control he display of hour based day calendars .
  • Day parts: A day part is a portion of the day. This form allows the start time of the day part to be set, and whether the day part is active and to be used in day part calendar displays.
