After the initial authentication, the new user will be brought to the ‘Today’ web page

The web page layout is consistent across all the different product main feature areas and uses five main elements:

  • Banner heading with System menus and search:  This is the blue bar across the top of the page with the ‘Good Day’ logo and name on the left side,  and the ‘Search’ bar and system menus on the right side.
  • Feature area access panel.:  This is the leftmost panel below the banner heading that includes options for the main feature areas of @ ‘Today’, ‘Planning’, ‘Goals’, ‘Tasks’, ‘Habits’ and ‘Journal;’
  • Feature area actions.: Each feature area has an actions panel that shows a set of user actions relevant to the currently active feature.  This is positioned to the right of the Feature area access panel.
  • Feature area toolbar.L  A feature area may include a toolbar that shows various buttons and slection options relevant to the area.  This is positioned below the blue banner and to the right of the feature area actions panel
  • Feature area data display area:  The area in the middle of page, below the area toolbar, and to the right of the area actions panel is known as the feature ara data display.  This will show data relevant to the current feature selection.

Banner heading #

The blue banner heading includes a number of facilities:

Pomodoro display button #

‘Good Day’ includes a Pomodoro time management tool.  Clicking on this button will display the Pomodoro action panel.

Clicking on the ‘Pomodoro; button a second time will hide the Pomodoro action panel.

Search bar #

The search bar is a facility that can be used to find goals, tasks or habits.  The search feature will search the title and descriptions for any matching text.

The search will only activate once three characters have been typed into the search bar.  At that point the display will change to show the search results panel.

User system menu #

The user system menu is located on the right side of the blue banner panel and accessed by clicking the human head icon.

The user system menu has six menu items:

  • Settings: clicking on this menu item will open the pop-up ‘Settings’ form.
  • Folders: Selecting this menu item will open the ‘Folders’ pop-up form, where the user can add, edit, and delete folder definitions.
  • Categories: Selecting this menu item will open the pop-up ‘Categories’ form, where the user can add, edit, and delete category entries.
  • Account: selecting this menu item will open the pop-up ‘Account’ form, where the user may update their password, or delete their account
  • Subscription: Selecting this menu item will open the pop-up ‘Subscription’ form, where the user may view their subscription status, history and purchase additional subscriptions.
  • Log out:  Selecting this menu item will log out of the session, and the display will be changed to show the login form.

Help system menu #

The help system menu is located on the right side of the blue banner panel and accessed by clicking the question mark icon.

The menu has three menu items:

  • User manual: selecting this menu item will open a new browser page and display the ‘Good Day’ user manual.
  • Feedback: Selecting this menu item will open a pop-up form that will enable the user to post feedback on the product to the vendor.
  • About: Selecting this menu item will open a pop-up form that displays the product version number and various licencing notifications.

Feature area action panel #

The feature area access panel is used to display a mix of user actions available to that feature.

The range of actions will vary according to the feature area.

By default, each feature area panel includes an animation at the top. The animation repeats every 3 seconds and can be toggled on or off by clicking over the animated image.

Feature area toolbar #

Each main feature area can have its own toolbar, which will include options for changing the feature display and filtering the displayed data.

Feature area data display #

The centre-right area of the webpage is reserved for showing data.
