The \u2018Tasks\u2019 page is made up of three subordinate panels:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This panel includes action buttons that allow users to add new tasks or filter the list of tasks shown in the data area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tasks toolbar<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The tasks toolbar includes a set of toolbars that allow a user to change the view mode, filter the task list, add new tasks, and update multiple tasks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The leftmost toolbar provides a set of buttons for changing the task view mode,  configuring the view display,  or saving the current view as a custom view.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The second toolbar provides two buttons for adding a new task, or adding multiple tasks through a bulk add action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The third tool supports filtering options, including the saving of a named filter for later reuse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The rightmost toolbar is used to control the selection of multiple tasks for updating attribute values across all the selected tasks.1<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The tasks data area is where the list of tasks is displayed.  The presentation mode will vary according to the active view mode.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Available task views<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Tasks page provides six different view modes for how tasks may be displayed: including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  • List:<\/em><\/strong> shows a single-column paging list of tasks<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Day: <\/em><\/strong>This view shows all scheduled tasks for the current date in a single column. It includes a date navigator for changing the date forward and backwards.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Week: <\/em><\/strong>This view shows all scheduled tasks for a given week, with a separate column for each day. It includes a weekly navigator toolbar for changing the date forwards and backwards.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Month:<\/em><\/strong> This shows all scheduled tasks for a given month, with a matrix view of seven daily columns and a row for each week.  The view includes a monthly navigator for changing the date forward and backwards.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Kanban: <\/em><\/strong> This view shows a set of columns to group tasks by their task state. By default, there are four columns for \u2018To do\u2019, \u2018on hold\u2019, \u2018In progress\u2019 and \u2018Completed\u2019.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Horizons:<\/em><\/strong> This view provides a columnar grouping of tasks based on a set of time horizons.  This can be by week, month or a custom set of time horizons.  This view is particularly relevant for users when planning task assignments<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Rolling day: This view provides a scrolling single-column view of tasks grouped by scheduled date.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    When the \u2018Tasks\u2019 page is chosen, it displays tasks in the \u2018List\u2019 mode by default. This default can be changed by saving a custom view and making that custom view the default display mode.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
